ATMs are widespread. Credit cards are used in larger hotels and upmarket restaurants, but smaller hotels and restaurants only accept cash.

List of required supporting documents for student national D visas:
- School’s letter of acceptance,
*obtained from school after FULL TIME course and accommodation for the duration are fully paid; - Bank Statement,
* in Euro or a print out of conversation attached showing at least 18 Euro per each day of their stay (as per 2019 Minimum Wage); - Travel Insurance;
- Original and Copy of Passport;

Arrival
Can I book airport transfer?
For your comfort we can arrange to meet you at Malta Airport and take you to your accommodation. Please let us know your flight and accommodation details at least 7 days prior to your arrival
How will I recognize you?
A NSTS Malta member of staff will welcome you in the arrival hall. You will meet our representative holding a NSTS sign.
What should I do if I have missed my flight or my flight is delayed?
You should notify NSTS Malta on +356 99495977 to rearrange your pick-up time.
First day at school
How can I find my way to the school?
The school’s address is 12 Taliana Lane in Gzira. You can walk from our Campus Residence (10 min) and Hibernia Hostel (15 min). Public transport is also available if you are staying in a host family or hotel.
What time should I arrive?
Lessons start at 8.45 am. On your first day, please arrive at 8.30 for your placement test. Please be punctual
What should I bring with me?
Our English course are communicative, and our teachers emphasize interaction as the means and the goal of study. However, it can be useful to bring a notebook and a pen. Our lessons are also becoming more interactive: BYOD – bring your own device: we use technology to enhance learning at every point in a lesson and you will collaborate on class assignments, conduct Internet research and use cloud-based apps.
What happens on my first day?
There will be a 45 minutes assessment of your level of English and counselling to determine your needs and goals on your first day. Together we will plan your individual study pathway, so you can achieve your goals!
What happens on public holidays?
There are no lessons on public holidays.
2023 Public Holidays on a weekday are: 10 Feb, 31 Mar, 07 Apr, 01 May, 07 & 29 Jun, 15 Aug, 08 & 21 Sep, 08; 13; 25 & 26 Dec. Lost lessons will be made up for except for lost group lessons on 29 Jun, 15 Aug.
